May B-day Card 1

The first toon/comic book character getting celebrated this month is Bob Kane's master creation. On May 1939, the world met Bruce Wayne, phylantropist billionaire playboy, who, secretly, because of a tragical night when he was a kid, was actually The World's Best Detective, dedicating his life to fight crime, using a disguise to scare criminals, a 'superstitious cowardly lot', and an array of tools, plus always having a Boy Wonder at his call; and, as villains say, "he always has the answers... makes us look like fools", even if 'he has no superpowers; he's just a flying rat'; and 'it's a good thing we got Arkham, 'cause he really drives us bats'.

Since then, The Dark Knight had defended Gotham City, and saved the world several times, either by his own or by teaming up with Brave and Bold heroes, including a Blue Boy Scout who, when they work together, become the World's Finest heroes.

So, Happy Birthday to The Caped Crusader; he's vengeance... he's the night... and right now, you can be sure he's 'ruining every evil scheme'.
