And finally, two guys that made their debut in radio... in the same station, WXYZ (no kidding).

In January 30th, 1933, was the first time the William Tell's overture would be used to announce the coming of a western hero. Someone who defended innocents in a lawless land, armed with silver bullets, and counting with the help of the fastest, most famous horse in fiction, and a brave Native American, the hero's 'Keemo-Sabe'.

In January 31th, 1936, a descendant of the western hero debuted in (back then) modern times. Unlike his ancestor, this guy wouldn't be an obvious hero, but a hero pretending to be a villain in order to defeat all kind of criminals. With a theme song as recognizable as the western guy's, yet replacing the horse with a black, beautiful car, the dark vigilante would become such as famous, and his sidekick would become even more, as he would be played, in live action, by a martial artist whose name would become a legend.

Happy Birthday to them both, as everyone keeps questioning 'Who was that masked man?' and the answer, at least in the first case, is a very well known...
