February Bday Card 3

The next card is dedicated to an American comic science fiction animated television series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network. The series follows a boy-genius named who has a secret laboratory filled with an endless collection of his inventions, and, besides the problems caused by himself, he constantly battles his annoying sister who just doesn't get the concept of 'personal space'. The first short was shown in February 26, 1995, as part of the World Premiere Toons, a project created by Fred Seibert for Hanna-Barbera Cartoons to be run on Cartoon Network, consisting on short cartoons, intended to return creative power to animators and artists, by recreating the atmospheres that spawned the great cartoon characters of the mid-20th century. Mister Tartakovsky's creation was among the most populars, and its own series premiered on April 28, 1996.

The series became one of Cartoon Network's most popular and successful original series, and it led to a change in direction for the station centering on more original animated programming. The show achieved high ratings and had a positive reception. During its run, the series was nominated for four Emmy Awards and garnered several other accolades. The series is also notable for helping launch the careers of several cartoonists, such as Craig McCracken, Seth MacFarlane, Butch Hartman, and Rob Renzetti.
